The worst thing that can hit any business apart from filing bankruptcy or closing down is being hit my natural disasters and accidents. In this case, fire is the problem that airsoft businesses had to contend to in the past weeks. RedWolf Airsoft UK got hit by fire in July are slowly putting the business back to normal. And just last week, the Bulgarian airsoft company, Airsoft Systems, got hit also by fire.
According to the company, an explosion at a nearby warehouse caused a fire that destroyed their factory. It destroyed a complete batch of ASAR-15 AEGs that were ready to be shipped as well as their latest generation ASCU units which are like MOSFETs that are in use in many AEGs this year.
Just like RedWolf Airsoft UK, Airsoft Systems are also insured, but of course it will take a bit while to recover as investigations by fire investigators and filing insurance claims will take time. Distributors, partners, and resellers of the company will have to wait further for their supplies as well as inform their customers of the delay in the shipment of the Airsoft Systems products.
This also serves as a reminder for airsoft businesses to look into their safety systems to avoid or minimize lost property in case of fire. There are products used in airsoft that can be accelerants in case of fire from as gas used in gas blowbacks as well as pyros so proper storing of these products should follow the fire and building codes imposed by the authorities.
